'Bodas de Sangre' Virtual Broadcast

A virtual broadcast of ‘Bodas de Sangre’ by Federico García Lorca produced at the Gene Frankel Theatre in New York City in August of 2022.

‘Bodas de Sangre’ by Federico García Lorca was written in 1933. This historical piece soon became a classic in both hispanic and anglophonic literary canons. The themes on gender and freedom are still eerily topical. This production of the play explores women's place in society and questions women's autonomy even today, nearly a century later. Does a patriarchal system really work for anybody?
